"I heard the gunshots. I called his cell phone. No answer. We live it and then we relive it."
-- Robin Douglas, mother of 21 year-old Lamar Whitehead,
who was shot and killed on his way to work at the post office in 2005
In 2009, 109 families lost a loved one to violence in Oakland alone. The Khadafy Foundation responds whenever, wherever needed, providing support and assistance. A family in crisis faces not only an emotional toll, but must also cope with other issues, such as thousands of dollars in funeral expenses, a sudden lack of income earner in the household, or parentless children who must be cared for.

You can make the difference between a family comforted and a family lost to grief and anguish without recourse.
Your donation can make the difference between being able to bury a loved one with dignity or having to make the terrible choice between paying rent or burial expenses.
